Dr. Fife joined LGH family medicine faculty in 2014. After teaching high school chemistry and biology in the Bronx, New York, he attended medical school at the State University of New York at Brooklyn (Downstate) and then the Lancaster General Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program. Upon completion of residency, he worked for four years as a full spectrum family physician with a focus on HIV, addiction and emergency care at LG Health Physicians Family Medicine Twin Rose Primary Care.

Dr. Fife then served as chief medical officer and a practicing family physician at Southeast Lancaster Health Services, the federally qualified health center in Lancaster City for 10 years. He has also served patients at LG Health Physicians Comprehensive Care and has maintained his certification as an HIV specialist.

Dr. Fife’s special medical interests include urban medical care, HIV care, and community medicine. In 2009, he was honored by the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers as the Outstanding Primary Care Clinician of the Year, and in 2010, by the Lancaster General Medical Staff with the Physician Achievement Award for Community Service. He enjoys running, reading, bicycling and most of all, spending time with his wife and their two children.
