Mr. Semerad attended law school in Columbus, Ohio, at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, graduating in 2016. As a law student, Mr. Semerad volunteered for the Federal Public Defender's Office for the Southern District of Ohio assisting attorneys working on death penalty litigation. Mr. Semerad also served as a judicial extern for Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor of the Ohio Supreme Court during law school. Following law school, Mr. Semerad joined the international law firm Jones Day as an associate in Jones Day's Cleveland, Ohio, office. At Jones Day, Mr. Semerad primarily worked on complex commercial litigation on behalf of institutional clients. After completing a clerkship with the Honorable Michale P.
