Dr. Sumatha Ghanta earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. She completed her internship and residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Monroe, Louisiana. She currently practices as a Family Physician. Dr. Ghanta is a member of the Ouachita Parish Medical Society, the Louisiana State Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. During her Medical education, she has volunteered as a Medical Examiner in the Indian National Games as well as with the National Polio Eradication Program.
