We are proud to be known as one of the oldest continuously running markets in the state of Connecticut. In the mid 18th century, when packet ships plied their trade along the Eastern seaboard from New York to Boston, we served as an offloading port for fresh meats, produce, groceries and dried goods. Today, Rowayton Market continues to serve the local community and has become a local favorite for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Market offers restaurant quality gourmet prepared foods, fresh cut meats, take-out options, fresh produce, pastries, cakes and a large selection of fine cheeses. Basic household items and fresh flowers are also available. Enjoy your meal on the deck, from coffee in the morning to dessert after dinner. Rowayton Market offers casual waterfront dining alongside the beautiful Five Mile River. On a hot summer day, sit back and enjoy an iced beverage, fresh fruits, salads, gourmet sandwiches or any of our other offerings while enjoying a nice breeze from the river, or perhaps a sunset view at dusk. On rainy days, enjoy the view from one of our tables by the windows overlooking the beautiful river view. Rowayton Market is open year round, with the exceptions of Easter Sunday and Christmas Day!
