When paired with traditional methods, complementary therapies have proven to be effective in supporting cancer patients. Providence provides acupuncture, massage, herbal medicine and nutritional counseling, yoga, guided imagery, meditation, Tai Chi, therapeutic touch and Qi Gong - all used in addition to conventional cancer treatments such as surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. These therapies help patients through conventional treatments, which can often be emotionally and physically draining. By giving patients access to a broad range of proven therapies, we ultimately give them more control over their cancer treatment.
