Prairie Lane Veterinary Hospital is here to treat the dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, pocket pets, amphibians, and reptiles of Omaha, NE, and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on being a Fear-Free Certified and Cat-Friendly Practices® accredited hospital, and train our staff to use low-stress techniques. We are open six days a week with select Saturdays by appointment. Our services include wellness exams, sick visits, vaccinations, microchipping, nutrition and weight management, behavioral counseling, euthanasia, X-rays, in-house laboratory, parasite testing and prevention, dental, surgery including spay and neuter, pain management, urgent pet care, and more. One of our vet techs is checking a patient’s medical records. We store our patients’ records and files digitally so that they are easy to access whenever our doctors need them.

This patient is getting an ultrasound taken, which is a method of taking high quality images of your pet’s internal systems. This is a very important tool that helps our doctors make accurate and efficient diagnoses on a wide range of conditions.

This cat is taking a peek around our offices and we invite you to come in and do the same!

We want your cats to grow up happy and healthy, which is why we make special recommendations for kittens. It’s safe to say we offer all the core vaccinations, and offer any and all useful information for new cat owners.

One of our doctors is using the tools in our in house laboratory to analyze a blood sample and make an accurate diagnosis.

Cuddling our furry patients is just one of the perks of our job. Knowing we could provide care to the pets of our community is the real reward. If there is anything we can do to provide your pets with a more comfortable visit, we will try to do it.

This patient has such clean teeth! Oral examinations are a very important part of physical examinations, because many pet owners tend to forget dental health. During your examinations, we make sure to check your pet’s teeth for any signs of dental disease.
