In 2007 Dr. Beckman became a diplomate in the American Academy of Pain Management and was honored as Alumnus of the Year by the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2010 he was acknowledged for his role in veterinary dental education with the distinguished Fellow of the Year award from the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry.
