Dr. Chung is a Professor of Medicine (Immunology and Rheumatology) and Dermatology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Chung initiated and developed the Stanford Scleroderma Program which focuses on three major goals: 1) To provide outstanding, comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care for patients with systemic sclerosis and related diseases; 2) To maintain a detailed clinical database and biorepository of SSc tissue samples to perform collaborative epidemiological and translational studies; 3) To conduct industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials of novel therapeutic agents for the treatment of SSc.
