L Makeup Institute, borne of a love of the craft of makeup artistry, was founded in 2010 by accomplished professional makeup artist Lissette Waugh. Since opening, LMI has developed a national presence with students traveling from all over the country to attend at our Las Vegas, NV, or Dallas - Fort Worth, TX campuses. Why? There are 1000's of Cosmetology Schools, but only a few Makeup Artistry Schools in the US that offer hands-on accredited programs that are a deep study of all styles of makeup artistry. Consisting of beauty makeup, on-set hair styling, body painting, airbrush makeup, character makeup, and special effects (FX) makeup, our programs focus exclusively on the art and science of makeup artistry. Whether a student chooses the delicacy of beauty makeup, the bold and dramatic look of airbrush makeup and body painting, or the intricacies of prosthetics, LMI focuses on creating the professionals of tomorrow while strengthening the skills of today's working artist.
