I have always enjoyed learning and discovered medicine was a calling for me beginning in my teen years as a volunteer at a hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. Becoming a physician seemed to blend many important career aspects to me including learning, helping others, and working in an engaging profession. I work hard to get to know my patients’ individual needs, which enables me to better help them. I see patients for routine office visits and procedures (using the most modern technologies), and I try to make the visit the best experience and most comfortable possible. I specialize in routine gynecology needs, including preventative care, menopausal (and perimenopausal) health, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, menstrual problems, contraceptive care, vulvovaginitis, vulvar skin dermatoses, sexual health, fibroid management, utero-vaginal prolapse, including pessary management, treatment of abnormal pap smears, infertility, and ovarian masses. I also perform minimally invasive procedures in the office and in the OR. I am now in my 50’s and have first-hand experience with what many of my patients are experiencing. Let’s face it, seeing a gynecologist is usually not a woman’s favorite visit, but I try to make it as easy and as painless as possible. Thus, I hope to form life-long relationships with my patients and provide them with compassionate and up-to-date care. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, three children and our dog, reading, traveling, exercising, and watching movies.
