Movie Night at the Glass Bowl is BACK on Friday, August 18, and we are sponsoring! Admission is FREE! Guests must park in Area 10, which is just north of the football stadium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for various activities, including bounce houses, movie-themed crafts, and autographs from members of the Toledo football, soccer, and volleyball teams. The movie Monsters University will play on the video board starting at 7:30 p.m. Attendees may bring their own chairs and blankets to sit on the field. Concessions will be available.

Hey, everyone! We are promoting small businesses in our community using Jake as our guest celebrity! First up is Power Up Cafe right here in Findlay, Ohio. Charro and Ali Saad own this successful small business featuring tasty, nutritious drinks and delicious food. Power Up also provides fitness classes regularly for all fitness levels! Please check them out!

We had the great privilege of visiting State Farm headquarters. It started with a tour of our company’s museum and history lesson, and then we met with a few amazing team leaders. Over 100 years of innovation and serving our neighbors, and we are only getting started!

Spooky season is upon us!

Jake recently traveled to Cakes for Heaven's Sake, a local bakery owned by Terri Crissman. She has been a small business owner for 12 years right here in Findlay. Let me say her baked goods are amazing!

Recently, Jake traveled to visit with Heather Hunt, originator of the “Little Free Pantry Findlay”! This awesome community-centered local treasure started in 2017 as a desire to help needy families and has turned into a full-blown movement in Findlay, Ohio.

Recently, Jake and I traveled to Fostoria, Ohio, to visit Gabe Turner, a small business owner of The Freshest Fades barber shop. All I can say is, “Wow!” what a great young man. Gabe was an excelling student at Ohio University but decided to return home once his father was diagnosed with MS. Well, he is thriving, and I highly recommend his shop for all your barbering needs!

Jake traveled to a new boutique owned by Fay Wollam. Fay's creative mind and personalized stained-glass work led her to open Journey Towards Unique Gifts in 2023, located on East Sandusky Street. The boutique also offers a variety of items for sale, from t-shirts, jewelry, kid clothes, baby items, and wedding items from local artists and crafters in the area. Jake took a trip to Elida Candle Company to take in all the marvelous smells! Diane and her husband turned their hobby into a thriving business in 2011 and opened up their first brick-and-mortar in 2020. Elida offers pure soy candles, wax melts, home fragrance products, and more. The best part is you can create your own candle by attending one of their pouring classes. They are located in the heart of Downtown Findlay, so be sure to visit!

Here in Whitehouse, Jake stopped at the Whitehouse Ohio Library for his FREE solar eclipse glasses. He might come back to check out the telescope and freshen up on his physics before the total eclipse on April 8th! And for bibliomaniacs, a Book Sale is coming on April 19th, 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. and 20th 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Support our local library!!

We had fun "adulting" this morning at Anthony Wayne High School. We were getting these kids super excited about car insurance!

Jake and I visited Smarty Pants Toys and Gifts in Findlay, Ohio. Owner, Tricia Cox, with the help of her daughters, Tori and Ali, has provided a quality specialty toy store for the Findlay community. What a treat this store is with every type of toy to educate and allow the imagination of kids to run wild! Do your kids and grandkids a favor and check out this awesome toy store! Also, Tonies Box and BUMPAS are featured!

Jake visited Sleek Styles Salon and Spa as a bonus "Where’s Jake Wednesday". Shella Sleek, owner/hair artist, has owned her business here in Findlay for over 7 years. Her salon is absolutely gorgeous and her staff is highly skilled and ready to pamper you and put a smile on your face!!! Must see!!!

Happy Mother’s Day! We honor the women who taught us love, courage, and kindness. Moms, you are our first friends and our forever heroes. Thank you for the laughter, lessons, and love. May your day be as spectacular as you are!

Jake visited the Buckeye Co, in Findlay. If you like delicious homemade Buckeyes with hometown excellence, I have the spot for you. Danika Romick, the owner has done an excellent job adding many new flavors. Must see, must visit!

Today is Natalie’s first work anniversary! Send her some love. We couldn’t do what we do with such quality and excellence without her!
