As a family nurse practitioner, I believe that each individual should be treated with compassionate, patient-centered care while looking at the whole picture. Pain is a common symptom that occurs in everyday life but how people perceive pain and deal with pain is very individualized. Not only is pain a physical problem but there is a psychosocial aspect too. My goal is to not only look at the underlying cause, but to also look at the whole patient and use every resource possible to help the patient achieve the best quality of life possible, while preventing further Injury and pain
