Dr. Carolan is a Board-certified, Fellowship-trained specialist in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He is a graduate of University College Dublin where he earned his Medical Degree.
Dr. Carolan completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and his Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, both at Cornell/New York Presbyterian Hospital. He was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado and in the Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Division of National Jewish Health in Denver before joining Prima CARE.
Dr. Carolan has published research in the basic science of lung function in smokers, and has extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of pulmonary diseases. He is Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
Dr. Carolan sees patients in his office in Building 7 on the main Prima CARE campus and cares for hospitalized patients at Saint Anne's and Charlton Memorial Hospitals.
