Dr. Hernandez was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after seeing medical professionals help members of her family. She appreciated the care her family received and wanted to provide care to others in return. She chose internal medicine for the opportunity to build Dr. Hernandez attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. She continued there to complete a residency in internal medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hernandez currently lives in Mission, Texas
